By accessing and using PDFTools (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

PDFTools provides free online PDF processing tools including merging, splitting, compressing, converting, editing, and securing PDF files. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Upload or process files containing malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
• Use the Service for illegal activities or copyright infringement
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Process files you don't have rights to use

The Service and its original content (excluding user-uploaded files), features, and functionality are owned by PDFTools and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to files you upload and process. We do not claim ownership of your content.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

PDFTools does not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Results will be accurate, complete, or reliable
• Defects will be corrected
• The Service is free of viruses or harmful components

You use the Service at your own risk. Some tools (OCR, PDF to Word, strong encryption) have known limitations clearly marked on their respective pages.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PDFTOOLS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (which is $0 for the Free plan).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PDFTools from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time without notice. We shall not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where PDFTools operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

We may revise these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
